Japanese consumer electronics brand Aiwa is all set to start offering Premium SMART 4K Ultra High Definition LED TVs, wireless headphones, smart home audio systems, and personal audio merchandises. And they have re-entered the Indian market with their array of audiovisual products.
“This return to the Indian market is the first step in that direction and will provide to the ever-evolving expectations of our objective audience for simple and affordable technology products. We intend to invest approximately over Rs 200 crore in the coming years,” stated Manmit Chaudhry, Managing Director, Aiwa India.
The company has competitively priced its LED TVs range from Rs 7,999 to 1.99 lakh.
Of all the products made to be available in India, TVs will be congregated domestically in Delhi while the remaining audio products will be brought in from Taiwan, China, and Korea. Aiwa products will be accessible online as well as at offline retail stores via the distributor network, inclusive of large format retail stores, and institutional transactions, among others. Aiwa products will go on sale approximately August 15, the Indian Independence Day. Aiwa asserts to have a robust after-sales service system with over 200 service centers beyond India. The company aims to market about 200,000 units per annum.
Remarking on the launch, Jeffrey Alan Goldberg factoring Aiwa International, states, “We decided to start this prominent brand in India because this is one of the most vibrant markets in the world with huge potential. While there are numerous other products in the market, the understanding of the Indian consumer to lap up the most revolutionary technology is unmatchable. Moreover, the feeling of nostalgia when it comes to Aiwa is strong hither, and I am sure India will welcome the new brand status with love and joy.”
Embellishing on their strategy for India, Managing Director, Aiwa India, Manmit Chaudhry, states, “We understand in working relentlessly to provide Indian customers with a wide choice of products with innovative, exceptional features that meet special requirements across different demographics and rate brackets. This launch is the initial step in that regulation and will cater to the ever-evolving expectations of our objective audience for simple and pocket-friendly technology products. We plan to invest almost over Rs 200 crore in the coming years.”
Aiwaentered the Indian market at the beginning of the 1970s and exited before 2005. Towada Audio-based out of Tokyo retains rights in Japan and elsewhere and has been producing Aiwa-branded products since 2017. Aiwa Consumer Products is the Indian branch of Aiwa, having a joint combination with their nominated India spokesperson.
The most wanted consumer electronics brand
Dell has developed as the most committed brand in India in 2019, according to a report published by brand analytics firm TRA Research. The company has also soared five ranks over the previous year to seize the top spot and also introduced the laptop section in the report.
With 31 percent Brand Trust Index (BTI) deviation from Dell, auto brand Jeep makes a dramatic entrance in the second spot with a substantial jump of 551 ranks over last year. LIC and Amazon are listed on the third and fourth spots, and Apple iPhone appeared as India’s fifth most trusted brand, climbing 116 ranks from 2018.
Samsung is in sixth place and is the leader among mobile phones. Holding the seventh rank, LG’s televisions are also the lead in the consumer electronics super-category. Aviva Life Insurance handles the eighth-most trusted brand rank, Maruti Suzuki is at the ninth position and is accompanied by the State Bank of India at tenth place.
The Tata Group has 23 brands amongst the most trusted list. Godrej has 15 labels, Amul has 11, and Samsung is embodied in eight categories. Seven brands each represented by LG, Cadbury’s, Honda, Nestle, Dabur, and Parle. Dabur’s labels are leaders in each of the assemblages they were included in.
The report, ninth in the line, uses a proprietary 61-attribute trust model to rank the brands. The study has been carried across 16 Indian cities on 2,315 consumers aged among 21 to 50 years pertaining to Sec A and B with a minimum yearly income of Rs 2.4 lakh.
