Hinting a big change in its marketing strategies, Qualcomm is now offering its recently launched Snapdragon 410E and 600E processors available via distribution. The company acknowledges long-term requirements of their buyers, the company claims that their buyers will be able to avail the parts for at least a decade. For starters, these will be supplied via Arrow Electronics, but the company further adds that creation of a global network is on its way.

These processors are being said to be important extensions of Snapdragon based product range. According to Raj Talluti, the senior vice president of product management in Qualcomm Technologies, “Snapdragon is a powerful and versatile processor with many potential applications in a variety of IoT applications. We can now offer this technology to a much wider range of customers with the additional benefit of long-term support and availability.”
The Snapdragon 600E will be featuring a 1.5GHz quad core Krait 300 CPU., a Hexagon DSP, and a Adreno 320 GPU. It also puts in support for Wi-FI, GPS connectivity, and Bluetooth. The Snapdragon 410E happens to be a 1.2GHz quad core processor that offers supreme performance for least power consumption. As per its maker, it is highly suitable for for all kind of IoT applications in digital signage, smart homes, industrial automation, medical equipment, and several other domains. According to David West, the senior vice-president of Arrow Electronics, “Arrow looks forward to offering Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon processors and complementing them with the full range of parts and engineering services we can offer to help customers through commercialisation.”
The buyer segment is thrilled to have these processors with it and is looking forward to a better range of devices that will have these processors as part of them.
