Texas Instruments or as they say TI recently released its state-of-the-art DLP technology that would empower high-resolution headlight. The unveiling tool place that the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). the DLP chipset is one of its kind offering in present day market that comes with both high resolution and full programmability. It means more pixels per headlight which would exceed the resolutions offered by all current ADB (Adaptive Driving Beam) technologies by approx. 10, 000 times.
Tier-1 suppliers and automakers will be able to make use of this advanced ADB solution for designing new types of headlight systems that pull up brightness level for drivers to peak level on roads while keeping glare at a minimum level. The best part is that this technology can work with all kind of light sources including laser illumination and LED lights. It provides engineers with a more perfect and precise way to control distribution of light over roads. The driver also gets option for customizing beam patterns. This new flexibility would also permit automakers as well as Tier-1 suppliers to design and create headlight systems that couple well with smaller optics as well as programmable software to improve performance of a system without compromising its style. It would also provide the system engineers with an ability to fully or partially dim down the individual pixels with the help of this solution. This new technology also paves way for creation of new headlight system that also allows the drivers to keep in high beams on as they operate their vehicle under all conditions without putting any effect on other drivers.
The DLP technology meant for high-resolution headlight system would allow allow Tier-1 suppliers and automakers to change headlight systems into advanced communication channel by bringing up relative information over roads.
