“One of the core limitations for electronic units is that they generate heat and the element that aids in dissipating the heat will support them to function at a faster speed and prevent failure of the machine,” says Chih-hung Chang, an electrical engineering professor in the OSU College of Engineering. “The more amounts of bubbles you will generate, the more will be the cooling that you will achieve.”
“On the contrary, if you intend to generate steam at a temperature lower than the surface level, then this approach will be extremely useful in boilers to boost their performance and efficiency levels. The newest approach is structured on the utilization of piezoelectric inkjet printing for creating a hydrophobic polymer, known as ‘dots.’ Such a polymer is created on a substrate and then deposited on a hydrophilic zinc oxide nanostructure on top of that.
