Honda recently declared a major update in the typical vehicle horn system. The new feature debuting in it are Horn Emojis, so now you can express your emotions not only with your smartphone but also with the horn of your Honda car. It will be an integrated vehicle-to-human and vehicle-to-vehicle communication system for present day driver. It will be offered as a standard feature in the latest 2018 Odyssey minivan that is slated to debut this spring. Honda Horn Emojis provide costlier horn sounds as compared with customary car horns, offering a new communication way to all drivers.
Installed in the steering system of the latest 2018 Honda Odyssey, the Horn Emojis from Honda are pretty simple to access and very safe in terms of usage in multiple situations like in a Rush Hour Traffic emoji. This will help in sharing the pain of being stagnant in heavy traffic among several other cars and drivers. These emojis also include a Happy Honda Honk emoji that will allow the driver to greet the passerby with a smiling “Hello”. The Honda Dog emoji, on the other hand, works as a silent messenger but warns other dogs for vehicles approaching.

The Honda engineer who is the supervisor of horn development, Alice Alerto, says, “Horns have been around for over a century, but little has been done to make these sound-making devices a personal expression of the driver’s emotions like we’re doing with the all-new Honda Odyssey. We have exhaustively researched and tested these new Honda Horn Emojis to offer the industry’s most advanced in-vehicle technology in the minivan segment.” In order to make the horn emoji system more expressive they included data assorted by audiologists and social scientists for identification of situations that need a driver to express emotions at the best.
