This DIY is right out of a Bond movie. It’s a tilt triggered coffee cup and the project also tells how you can keep your cover form blowing. We think, it is pretty cool. It uses Arduino Uno Rev 3, a TTL serial JPEG camera module, a SD card shield, resistors, LEDs, and a Mesmic 2125 2 axis accelerometer, to the make the whole thing, tilt triggered.
You might want to start with getting your JPEG camera module into focus. Because if you end up with a great connection and blurry shots, it’s not going to serve the purpose, right! Test the SD card and the find the one with the right format. Breadboard the circuit and add a couple of indicator LEDs. One can tell you when the tilt is triggered and second for notifying that a picture has been clicked. Check out detailed circuit diagram, given in the link below.
Once this is done, you can start fixing them up inside a coffee cup! You can read about the Mesmic 2125 and how it triggers on tilt, in the link given below. It is quite fascinating. Cut the coffee cups as directed and hide your apparatus in it. You can replace battery packs with an Arduino Uno.
There is also a hack for a larger camera setup. Do read it. Also, the inventor encourages you to use Arduino Nano to shrink the size, maybe or improve the setup.
Do let us know, if you figure out a way. Till then, enjoy this video.
