A leading seller of customized and standardized embedded computer modules and board, Congatec, recently came up with a new product – Conga-TR4 COM Express Type 6 module that has latest AMD Ryzen™ Embedded V1000 processors. This new product establishes a completely new benchmarks with respect to high-end embedded computer units, the AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 processors have ability to deliver GPU performance that stands ahead of other contemporary solutions by 3X times. These also help in improving performance by 2X times as compared to previous generations of this product. A TDP that is scalable from 12-54W, these new Congatec products with these new processors will take advantage of its advanced features that would help in moving performance ahead in leaps in bounds across the TDP range. Its huge potential of optimizations with respect to power, costs, weight, and size would also work in favor of users who need high graphics performance.
These new COM Express basic modules have been developed by Congatec for better development of embedded computing systems featuring high range graphics performance for applications like gambling, control rooms, digital signage, video surveillance, optical quality control, 3D simulators, infotainment, professional broadcasting, medical imaging, and so forth. Other useful applications include autonomous vehicles and robotics that need deep learning to optimize situational awareness. According to Martin Danzer, the Director of Product Management at Congatec, “High performance 4k UHD system designs, which previously ran at 54W, now require less than half the TDP without loss of graphics performance. As a result, active cooling solutions can be replaced by passive ones, with all the corresponding SWaP-C benefits. “The new 15W mobile system designs can deliver truly impressive user experiences with brilliant 4k displays and outstanding 3D graphics quality.”
