i have tried this project, when i placed leds at 11 ,12 ,13 ,14 ports of mt8870 they arer glowing but when i tried to rotate the motors using l293d they are not working ...please help me......i need to finish this project soon...........
u need transistor connect collector with 5 volts and connect your output port with transistor base and motor with emiter than your motor will work. led need 2 volts but motor need higher voltage and inital torque is also high thats y it need higher voltage
could u tell me transistor details it could be great help for me?
hi i am balram i have designed circuit as you told but power supply is not there for motor what to do?
which number transistor do i connect
how to connect transistor to circuit board
Thank You :)
Why are there two mobile phones in the video!? one should suffice right?
One mobile acts as the remote (In video: Nokia 1209 phone) and the other mobile (In video: Nokia 5320 phone) is a part of the receiver circuit.
Effectively 2nd mobile phone acts as u rmicrocontroller/ GSM recevier unit. I dont want to dis courage you or anything but you are using your phone to do uC stuff..
Acting as a uC is different from actually using it right? And we need not program the phone or configure it to work unlike a uC. I just tried to reduce the extra uC (ATmega8 or ATmega16) being used in it since it requires both programming and money to buy. Anyways, thanks for your compliment.
give its full process by its single parts
Good Work Bro .........
dats a nice work i will try to build mine to test it. anway thanks
how connection is made betwwen mobile and dtmf decoder. in otherwords how do you coneect the decoder to the mobile?
see here http://www.engineersgarage.com/contribution/cellphone-operated-land-rover-robot?page=2
0 stand for 10 thats mean 1010 not 0000, so we not stop the robot using Cellphone, if we use old telephone set thats contain "D" thats BCD code is "0000", then possible to stop the robot
You can press number 3 (0011) to stop the robot.
sir iam anil past i worked with rf module but i saw your add about cellphone operated robot in that can show the diagram of connecting ring and tip to dtmf decoder if possible with video sir please..... i want to complete my project
Very interestin...thnx a lot
but had a doubt...
how do u connect d geared motors to the wheels?
Wheels are provided with screws which can be used to connect the motor's shaft to the wheels.
I am a second year ETC student. This project is very helpful to me. Kindly explain how do I connect the geared motors to the vehicle. Thanks ! Pl. reply at the earliest !
- P. Smita
Geared motors are provided with a bolt. With that you can attach it to the chassis.
why in decoder pin 2 and pin 3 the resistor are connecting in parallel.............
i admit i don't know a lot about microcontrollers...
but i had a question.....if i had to install a wireless camera on top of the rover, is it still possible to do it without using a uc?
Yes,you can but you would have to use a complicated circuit consisting of several logic gates which is actually tougher, more complicated than using a microcontroller
HOW TO DO WE CONNECT THE 6V SLV BATTERY AND THE EARPHONE IN THE CIRCUIT??
the datasheet showed that supply voltage for motors should be 9-12 volts.. but v are connecting a 6volt battery.. so any changes have to be made or this will work as given in the circuit diagram?? please reply as soon as possible..
No changes have been made. Giving it a 6 volts will only reduce its speed thats it.
In the photo there is 7 resistors,5 capacitors, 1 -7805 ..but in circuit diagram there is only 3 resistors,3 capacitors ... i am doing this project,, but i m getting partial output i.e the motor is not rotating continuesly..small jerk's only there..can u pls give me the exact circuit diagram which is in the photo..pls mail it as soon as possible ..thank you.
Thats because in the circuit diagram I didn't include the two LED indicators(1 connected directly to the output of 7805 through 330E resistor and another to one of the outputs of decoder through 333E resistor).
-The 2 extra capacitors near to 7805 are filters to get a proper 5V power supply.
-And in circuit diagram u can notice a 330k ohms resitor between pin 16 & 17 of decoder. I couldn't get a 330k so i used 220k + 100k + 10k (3 resistors) in series.
-You said you are getting jerks only. Check for any loose connections (it always happens), check the current (It shouldn't exceed 1A since 7805's maximum rating is 1A only) and lastly try checking the motor driver.
thanks for ur reply.......instead of using MT8870,I used CM8870,, when i searched i
come to know that MT8870 is decoder IC and CM 8870 is the receiver IC,, but both th pin details are equal...so will it produce that jerk!!
the jerks produced are not due to the decoder IC so changing that IC is not going to affect the jerks.
THANKS IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
v r doin this project.. and we are not getting any voltage across the motors.. the connections are made as per the circuit diagram.. the extra things mentioned above are not added.. is that the reason because of which its not working? if so please mail me a proper circuit diagram as soon as possible..
this ckt is awesome and the way u have prepared is superb but there is a disadv in this ckt i.e., the keys that are used to control our robot to avoid this situation i have prepared a ckt without micro controller with the functioning of 2-forward,4-left,5-stop,6-right,8-reverse i'll post that ckt in arnd 2weeks with the robot pics
Hi bro!!!this ckt is awesome and the way u have prepared is superb but there is a disadv in this ckt i.e., the keys that are used to control robot to avoid this problem i have prepared a ckt without micro controller with the functioning of 2-forward,4-left,5-stop,6-right,8-reverse i'll post that ckt in arnd 2weeks with the robot pics(the ckt has only 4 ics including dtmf decoder ic and motor driver ic)
where and how to connect the cell phone in the circuit.how antor phone is operated is it reguire any connection to the circuit?
plz mail complete circuit diagram connection in detail as i am new to project. mail id - firstname.lastname@example.org
plz...............help me friend am early waiting for ur information.thanking u
nice work brooo.raellly amazing..i need to try this.gd job...i had a small doubt.where shuld i need to connect tip and ring wires in the earphone jack???( there have 4 wires.left, right, mic and gnd.. )
Can MT9370 replace MT8870 and please provide the changes to be made with MT9370 in the ckt.
Waiting fr ur reply....
new year will start with ur project. thanks bro..
