Now you can adjust the volume of your system, switch on the light or switch of the phone, by just ROTATING your phone. Yes! You don’t have to unlock it. You don’t need a web app. You only need to rotate it. This DIY combines radio frequency, Android and Arduino. Read on, how!
For this DIY, you need:

Arduino

USB

Android Smartphone with orientation capability

An LED
-
Resistor, less than 1K

Arduino IDE installed in your PC
You start with download 1Sheeld library and extract it in Arduino. There’s a simple code to be uploaded in your Arduino IDE. You need to download 1Sheeld App on your phone and select Orientation Shield option. Turn on the Bluetooth.
This is the basic model, which lets you turn on or off the LED by rotating your phone. See the video, below.
You can modify other things by using relays or MOSFET. Get your hands dirty and do send us your invention. And before we forget, the inventor here, is still in school. Way to go!
