CUI’s Power Group Expands the VOF ac-dc power supply lineup with new 300 W series

By Neha Rastogi April 19, 2017

CUI’s Power Group has made the announcement to expand the VOF ac-dc power supply family by launching a compact 300 W Series. The VOF-300 Series has been rolled out in an open frame and metal enclosed packages. It’s a higher power addition to the brand’s existing general purpose ac-dc power supply portfolio available across a wide range of 6 W to 280 W.

Apart from delivering an ideal mix of economy and power, the single output power supply series delivers efficiencies up to 94% and no-load power consumption as low as 0.3 W for energy-conscious ITE, industrial, and consumer electronics applications.

The open frame VOF-300 and enclosed VOF-300-CNF series are fitted with a universal input voltage range of 90 to 264 Vac alongside output voltage options of 12, 24, 36, and 48 Vdc. All models also carry UL/cUL and TUV 60950-1 safety certifications while complying to EN 55032 Class B and FCC Class B limits for radiated emissions. Besides, the series has a minimum MTBF of 160,000 hours at 115 Vac at 25°C ambient, calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F. It provides protection against over current, over temperature, over voltage, and includes power factor correction.

The open frame VOF-300 series measures 3.00 x 5.00 x 1.38 in (76.2 x 127 x 35.1 mm), while the metal enclosed package is slightly larger at 3.46 x 5.35 x 1.59 in (88 x 136 x 40.4 mm). The former provides an operating temperature range at full load from -40 up to +50°C with forced air cooling, derating to 60% load at +70°C. Whereas the latter carries an operating temperature range at full load from -40 up to +60°C with forced air cooling, derating to 60% load at +80°C.

Availability
The VOF-300 and VOF-300-CNF series can be availed immediately through distribution with prices starting at USD 111.50 per unit at 25 pieces.
