I feel like James Bond, just by writing about it! It is exactly what it says. A cool looking bow tie with an integrated spy cam. Here’s a rundown of all that you’ll need, to assemble your own particular Raspberry Pi 2-controlled necktie spy cam: portable battery pack, microSD card with SD card connector, Wi-Fi connector, Ethernet link, Micro USB link, Raspberry Pi 2, 3D-printed tie and Raspberry Pi camera module.
You start by downloading the motionPie software and putting that onto the memory card. Next you plug in all the hardware and connect the camera. Attach it to the battery pack and set up the wi-fi. The best thing about this project is, it’s detailed step wise description of each step. The guide has been written keeping, even the RPI virgins in mind. It’s like I am writing this for you and virtually making it, in my head, get the James Bond reference now?
You can print your 3D bow tie design , which is again available online. You must scale it, to be able to wear it, obviously. Here’s what it will look like once you attach the camera module to it.
You can test it using the steps given in the guide. It’s quirky and nerd at the same time! We love it.
