Embedded World 2023, the 21st edition of the annual exhibition and conference, is set for Nuremberg, Germany, from March 14th to 16th. The trade fair provides a global platform for professionals working in embedded systems technologies, including developers, product managers, system architects, industrial associations, and start-ups.
The exhibition offers insight into the embedded systems industry, covering components, modules, design, hardware, software, operating systems, M2M communication, IoT, and cloud services.
The 2023 event is based on the theme: “Embedded Responsible Sustainable.” It speaks, in part, to the fact that embedded systems must be sustainable over their entire lifecycle — from design and manufacture to operation and upgradability to refurbishment, decommissioning and disposal.
It also focuses on the trend that more embedded systems are focused on function-critical applications of embedded systems for industrial automation, medical devices, and e-mobility. Key topics covered will include embedded sustainability, operations, refurbishment options, decommissioning, disposal, and TinyML and embedded Rust. View a preview of the 2023 lineup here.
Embedded World is expected to attract more than 30,000 trade visitors and 1000+ exhibitors. Attendees can expect conferences, guided tours, exhibitor forums, electronic displays conference, round tables, and start-up pitches.
Each year, the conference is divided into an embedded and an electronic display conference. Visitors can choose between sessions according to specific business interests and expertise. This year, the conferences will have nine tracks, featuring 200 hours of presentations.
There are also awards, and two categories have been added for 2023 in SOC/IP/IC design and Artificial Intelligence. Check out the various categories and nominees here.
Last year, the conference had more than 1000 participants and speakers from 42 countries who shared and exchanged knowledge in 196 presentations, 10 classes, three keynotes, and six expert panels. The 2022 electronic displays conference was attended by 400+ visitors and speakers, with discussions on automotive display and interfaces, display systems, touch technologies, micro-LED, augmented reality, gesture control, and others. The Student Day of the 2022 was attended by 1000+ students enrolled in embedded relevant engineering courses.
The schedule for Embedded World 2023, which includes the exhibitor forum and expert panels, has been released here.
