Seiko Epson Corporation would start a global roll out of its N6 compact 6-axis, an industrial robot. Epson also plans to bring forth the SH250LH, a new kind of force sensor blessed with hollow design.
The Epson N series of compact 6-axis robots do tasks in some very tight corners more efficiently than other robots. The main feature responsible for this edge is an uniquely engineered “folding” arm. The N6-axis robot has been blessed with a longer arm and is capable of handling much higher payloads as compared to N2 that was previously released by Epson. The Epson N6 is perfect for unloading/loading mini electronic entities as well as automotive parts inside test equipment.

It is also considered ideal for shelving and unshelving of medical products and more than that. It also comes with a much smaller installation footprint as compared to previous 6-axis robots and is capable of reaching much wider range of locations from bottom to top shelf. Such features enhance the productivity as well as efficiency required to use factory space.
Now let’s talk about most interesting features of N6. first of all, it has been blessed with a unique arm structure as well as arm length provide N6 a very small sized installation footprint to reach tighter and crooked corners. It is 1000 mm. Espon’s 900-mm class 6-axis robots. Users are able to take advantage of these features by laying out factory equipment and shelves vertically in place off horizontally to allow N6 to make best use of vertical space that was wasted previously.

With the help of its 1000mm arm length the N6 is able to reach things that the same height as the C8XL – a 1400mm class-6 axis robot by Epson. Also, since the N6 can be installed much closer to equipment and shelves as compared to 1400-mm arm, it can bring down the installation space by 75%. Along with it, the hollow arm offers storage space for hoses and cables.
