Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd has announced that it is going to expand its Creative Digital Space User-Interface (UI) technology. Developed in 2015, it turns entire rooms into digital spaces and smooths co-creation activities across multiple platforms.
With the widespread smart devices and advancement in cloud and communication technologies, it has become easy to share issues arising in manufacturing sites and other settings through device screens, even between remote locations. However, this is still limited to text and image data and holding discussions with a large number of people to share data is a difficult task.

With the existing technologies, it has been difficult to support smooth sharing and use of the same data, both within a single location and between locations, as part of activities involving a repeated exchange of views and data editing.
To address this issue, the newly developed network technology doesn’t impact the user experience of a system even while sharing the same data across multiple locations. It also reduces operation conflicts.
Key Features
While sharing data with other locations, the technology offers efficient communications by leaving out unnecessary data. Besides, an internal field trial showed that it reduced delays in data sharing by almost 90% while maintaining local data sharing at less than 0.3 seconds even when the number of locations increased.
Fujitsu has developed an awareness propagation technology that notifies users what is happening at remote locations in a variety of ways. This enables users to be aware when others are making any changes so that they do not interfere with the process and conflicts in operation can be reduced.
