We are talking about the Gate driver ICs that have been customized by EiceDRIVER™ for lower and medium voltage related motor control applications. While the lower voltage figures range from 24V – 48V the same for medium range applications go from 60-120V. The firm is known for offering the most extensive portfolio of 200V level shift gate drivers that include 3-phase, high or low side, half-bridge drivers that support both lower voltage and medium voltage motor control applications.

Out of the complete package of ICs offered we will be talking about the few special ones. Let’s begin with the 3-phase product family i.e. 6ED003L02-F2 and 6EDL04N02PR. This one makes use of Infineon’s unmatched SOI (Silicon-on-Insulator) level shift technology that offers functional isolation along with negative VS robustness of industry and much lesser level shift losses. A simple solution for this is being provided with Bootstrap Diodes (BSD) integrated to bring down the BOM costings, PCB size, and simplification of layout.
The IRS200X family, on the other hand, makes use of advanced junction isolated high-voltage IC technology that helps in realization of an efficient, robust, and highly efficient monolithic architecture.
The IRS20005/7/8 family is comprised by four devices with Vcc and VBS Under-voltage lockout protection. The IRS2007 as well as the IRS2008 include integrated shoot-through and dead-time protection. The 200V equipped devices come with low quiescent currents. IRS2008 also brings-in a shutdown input pin.
The IRS2005/7/8 20V devices are provided with fourteen-pin 4 x 4 mm or eight-pin DSO-8 VQFN14 packages with varying logic input alternatives along with the standard pin-out configurations for higher design flexibility as well as reduced time to markets. All these devices have qualified the MLS2.
