To interact with good technology, we need good technology. For instance, interaction with a PS3 needs a motion controller or Bluetooth based remote control. Laptops and age-old desktops are always known for the hit combo of keyboard and mouse. But as their applications and utilities are growing, curious mind needs more accurate and comfortable input system. Well, we do have touch screens coming up steadily, but they are not as perfect as keyboard-mouse have been. How about just touching in the air like Tony Stark and making things work? Drrream!!!! Isn’t it?? Well, open source does that for you (again).
A smart glove, based on the human computer interaction, named as Keyglove, stands as the potentially next Godfather of all input we have ever seen. Just wear this glove and there you go, documenting, photoshopping, gaming, chatting etc etc. To operate this gadget, one has to understand and learn simple glove movement and gestural rules which are in turn are as smooth like a wave of a hand. The glove senses multitouch and is loaded with all the sensors and essential communication protocols one needs.
Based on Arduino/AVR, this gadget is pretty much developed for initial use and the geeky can always add his own wonder through the open source hardware world. So from controlling the computer, you can control the lights of the house or cars of the neighborhood. So, we got a X-Men + Tony Stark thing going on in here. Check out this video to know more
