The project is currently being carried out in Mexico City where Alejandro Mercado and his team are crowdfunding to bring forth a teaching program that can help people suffering from hearing disability. The prime objective of this project is to impart computing and web designing skills to these people with the help of Raspberry Pi. It will ultimately help in enhancing in their chances of getting better educational and employment opportunities.
The program mainly focuses on young generation that is unable to avail better chances of moving forward in wake of their disability. Having knowledge of web designing and programming will definitely help them in getting an entry ticket in IT firms where they can seek a better future and career prospects for themselves. They target to collect an amount of $70000 MXN that will support their team in giving better education to students. The lessons are being imparted with respect to HTML5, web design, JavaScript, operating systems, as well as programming with the help of Raspberry Pi. The money will be used for hiring sign interpreters, assort visual teaching resources for hearing impaired people, and giving personal Raspberry kit to every student once they have completed their course here.
It is one of the most noble projects that defines the best usage of low-cost computing software such as Raspberry Pi. It can really help others in leading a better life.
