Intel has recently announced its Optane Memory Module that will offer a revolutionary experience to the PC users in the form of faster load times across a wide range of applications. The memory module along with 7th Gen Intel Core processors deliver 2x faster boot time, 28% faster system performance, and 65% faster game level loads.
It is claimed to take PC responsiveness to a whole another level regarding everything including compute-intensive engineering applications, high-end gaming, web browsing, content creation, and everyday office applications. The pairing up of Intel Optane memory and a 7th Gen Intel core processor would mean that the users can power on their computers up to twice as fast as it used to be.

Moving on, this would also imply the improvement of the overall system performance by up to 28% faster with storage performance of up to 14 times faster. Besides, applications like Chrome browser would launch 5 times faster, Microsoft Outlook would launch 6 times faster, and games would launch 67% faster; where the levels would load up to 65% faster.
Today, loads of data is created, used, and saved by an average person, which is usually dealt through traditional hard drives. Although a hard drive addresses the storage issue but it also slows down the system and decreases its responsiveness. This is where Optane memory comes into picture. It ensures that the data contained in the PC storage is readily accessible and improves the overall performance thereby increasing the system’s responsiveness.
Product Availability
The Intel Optane Memory Modules are going to be available in the market from 24th April in 16GB and 32GB versions. However, for the installation, the users are required to pair it with 7th Gen Intel Core Processor. As per the company, there are currently 130 Optane-ready motherboards in the market. The 16GB version can be availed at USD44 while the 32GB version is available at USD77.
