Whether you are a consumer, a learner, or a hobbyist Multyremotes.com is one of the best web you may like hooking-up to. The engineer designer for this web brings in here a complete range of electronic projects like embedded systems, industrial automation system, multichannel remotes of course, robotics and hence. Load Positioning System is an embedded system that aims at maintaining a fixed position for a moving object with reference to another object. For example in satellite tracking system the dish antenna should always point to moving satellite to receive maximum signal. A slight deviation may also reduce the signal strength. In gun barrel position system for military tank or anti-aircraft gun once the target is locked the gun should point to target always till the shell (bomb) is fired to hit the bull’s eye. All these applications here require a load positioning system.
In this project here, there is a fixed end which acts as a reference point. The position of the moving object is fixed with reference to this fixed point. The mechanical arrangement consists of a fixed end, a moving platform attached to the shaft of a stepper motor. A light emitting diode is fixed on the fixed end which illuminates the LDR over the moving object. When light energy falls over it, it converts it to equivalent voltage signal. This analog signal is fed to ADC0801 which converts the signal into digital voltage signal and transfers it to microcontroller 895C1 for processing. The MCU compares the received signal with the set value and then moves the motor in clockwise or anticlockwise direction accordingly to match both the values. ULN2003 takes up the output from microcontroller, amplifies it, and sink a current that suffices to drive the motor. In this way, the position of the moving object always remains fixed with reference to the fixed end.
