Broadcom Limited, a leading developer, designer, and global supplier of a large portfolio of analog and digital semiconductor solutions, announced its new set of 8 channel 28 Gbps repeater IC devices, the BCM82109 and BCM82181. These two repeater IC devices are designed for network backplane and front panel applications.
The BCM82109 is an 8 channel unidirectional repeater device compatible with the Broadcom BCM82209 unidirectional re-timer device. The BCM82181 is an 8 channel bi-directional repeater device print compatible to the Broadcom BCM82381 bidirectional re-timer device. These new devices are designed to address low power requirements, while providing sufficient link performance to meet the IEEE 802.3.25 100GbE and 32GFC requirements for back plane, front panel and active copper applications.
Broadcom Limited is a leading designer, developer and global supplier of analog and digital semiconductor connecting devices. Broadcom’s limited extensive product portfolio serves four primary end market, they are wired infrastructure, enterprise storage, wireless communications, and industrial. As they are expertise in the above they are keener competitor and innovator in the field to launch Industry’s longest repeater ICs for Network backplane and front panel applications.
