Industrial system can be now kept safe in a more efficient way from dangers associated with high voltage signals. The new innovation from Maxim now brings in a more reliable and robust MAX22445 5kVRMS four-channel reinforced digital isolator. A product from Maxim Integrated Product Inc., it is capable of delivering up to 2x greater throughput with almost four times lesser power consumption as compared to other contemporary solutions. The MAX224445 offer reliable communication over the isolation barrier to promise safe operation of compact medical, industrial and other types of equipment.
For the high-voltage equipment, the digital isolators offer signal isolation along with level shifting for proper working of several circuits while it also protects users from dangers like electric shock. However, all every islator is different from the other, the MAX22445 provides reinforced, dual insulation barrier isolation for rapid digital signals. The IC responsible for mitigating the dangers of high-voltage power can transfer signals up to 200Mbps with much less power as compared to other contemporary solutions. It can be availed in 16-pin wide-body SOIC package with creepage and clearance of 8mm.
Key Benefits:
● Lower Power Consumption: These isolators have current consumption of 0.41mA per channel while the power consumption rates at 0.74mW at Mbps with VDD at 1.8V/
● Higher Speed: These isolators offer maximum propagation delay of 10.5ns along with maximum data rate of 200Mbps that enables accurate and fast data acquisition and higher speed interfaces with quite wide timing margins.
As the managing director of Industrial & Healthcare Business Unit at the Maxim Integrated, Jeff DeAngelis, likes to add, “ The MAX22445 eliminates the tradeoffs between isolation reliability, dynamic performance and power consumption. Engineers can now develop safe, high-throughput, compact factor automation systems.”
