Maxim Integrated Products Inc., a well-known provider of innovative analog and mixed-signal products and technologies, has officially revealed a high-brightness LED controller labeled as MAX20078. It’s the only product available with a fast response time and low electromagnetic interference (EMI) for exterior LED lighting and improved safety applications.
This LED controller allows designers to achieve high performance, ease of design, and fast time-to-market. It can be used ideally for matrix lighting designs. In such applications, the LED drivers and controllers have to face certain challenges. For example, switching LEDs at high speeds can cause overshoots and undershoots in the current.
So, in order to achieve low EMI with different layouts and filtering methods, automakers have to invest a lot of time, money, as well as efforts.
