In a recent event in New York, Microsoft has introduced the new Surface Laptop, the much-anticipated device. It is powered by 7th Generation Intel Core processors (i5 and i7 options available) delivering incredible performance in the form of long battery life and an immersive experience for the users.
Coming to the specs and features of the new Surface Laptop, it has a 13.5-inch PixelSense LCD touchscreen with 3:2 aspect ratio. Weighing just 2.75 pounds, the device flaunts a tapered design ranging from 9.9 mm at the front to 14.47 mm at the back. It’s also equipped with immersive Dolby Premium Audio system under the Alcantara fabric keyboard (a first of its kind). This allows the audio to be projected vertically from behind the keys instead of from the grilles and holes on the sides.

Moving on, there is a USB port, a surface power connector, and a mini DisplayPort. The color options available for the laptop include Platinum, Burgundy, Cobalt Blue, and Graphite Gold. Other important features include 14.5-hour battery life and a 1TB PCIe solid state drive for the top spec. The base model carries Intel Core i5 (7th gen) CPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB SSD; while the top end variant boasts of Intel Core i7 CPU (7th gen), 16 GB RAM, and 512GB SSD.
Intel and Microsoft have partnered closely to ensure an incredible performance aimed at addressing the needs of professionals and students. The Surface Laptop will be available from June 15, this year but pre-order is already available. The base model is offered at the price tag of $999 in the USA.
