MINMAX Technology is a global level manufacturer and supplier of best-quality power converters based in Taiwan. The firm recently announced launch of its MIZI03 Series, a completely new range of high-performing 3W isolated DC-DC converters designed only for present day railway applications. The new MIZI03 power converter series is encapsulated inside DIP-24 package which can now be availed for DC battery bus voltages of 110VDC, 96VDC, 72VDC, 48VDC, 36VDC, and 24VDC. The range of output voltages, on the other hand goes from 5VDC to ±15VDC.
These new type of converters work in compliance with Railway DC input-voltage range and some precise variation requirement in sync with EN50155 certification, thermal shock and vibration test EN 61371, dry, cooling, damp heat test IEC/EN 60068-2-1, 2, 30, Railway EMC standard EN 50121-3-2, and Railway Certification EN50155 (IEC 60571). The DC-DC power converter series have been designed inside conducted EMI filters that conformed to voltage isolation prerequisites EN 61373.
MIZI03 series belongs to the industry leading power converters that will ensure best security to the system by inculcating best-in-class safety features such as remote power control and voltage output trim along with fire protection, short-circuiting, overvoltage, and overload approved to EN45545-2 standards.
The complete MIZI03 series 3W isolated DC-DC power converter range that was evaluated against safety index parameters that ensure excellent reliability and safer railway operation. The railway certified DC/DC power units were vacuum sealed with the help of UL944V-0 grade sealants. The vacuum-seal of these DC-DC power converters along with 3, 000 VAC voltage isolation with enforced insulation helps in creation of a strong electrical barrier to security sensitive circuit load from excessive energy mishaps. The state-of-the-art security features have been integrated together with the help of leading DC-DC power converter series that includes under-voltage, overload, output voltage trim, over-voltage, and so forth.
