The next generation DC-DC converter modules from MINMAX, the MTQZ75 and MTQZ50, sync perfectly with railway emission standard EN 50121-3-2 and other railway safety standards like IEC 60571 and EN50155. Along with, thee newly developed DC-DC converters are capable of sticking with shock and vibration standards as specified by EN 61373, fire protection standard like EN4555-2, and environmental standards like IEC/EN 60068-1-1, 2, 30.
The MTQZ75 and MTQZ50 DC-DC converter series is constituted by 8 models and I/O isolation of 3000VAC. These promise super-wide input range of voltage extending from 72 volts to 1100 volts with outputs of 24V, 15V, 12V, and 5V. These converters also offer a high-efficiency level up till 92%, inculcate advance features with output voltage trim, remote off/on control, remote sense, voltage/overload/temperature regulating circuits, as well as convection cooled ambient temperatures.
The MTQZ75 and MTQZ50, industrial standard quarter DC-DC converter modules, adhere to specification requirements of international railway certification “EN50155: Railway Application Electronic Equipment Used on Rolling Stock”. It is a special kind of certification that covers I/O voltage isolation tests, rugged environmental tests, insulation tests, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) tests, mechanical requirement tests, damp heat tests, dry heat, cooling, and humidity tests.
The EN50155 Railway Certification required the DC-DC converters to extract power straight away from battery power source of the battery. MINMAX’ MTQZ75 and MTQZ50 duely adhere with this requirement. These converters are capable of operating in similar as storage battery voltage without needing any extra voltage stabilizing devices.
