A simple, modular solution for building electronics; exactly what its tag line says. It is cluster of circuit boards modules which makes it simpler for you to build electronics. With Modulo, you don’t have to design and assemble, right from scratch. It includes sensors, motor drivers and displays, all set into a base unit. You only need to concentrate on concepts and creating cool stuff and not on wiring and data sheets! Just like how’s it’s shown in the video.
You can use Python for programming and use it with Pi and Arduino, alike. Each of its modules has their own processor making this little device modules, interchangeable, smarter and more flexible. The devices come together on a plate, which leaves very little scope of you messing up. Now you don’t need to remember where each wire needs to go!
The team plans of making a huge variety of Modulos available. For a larger project, you can more than one bases (each holds 4 modulos) and connect them together. You can read more about the project on KickStarter and contribute maybe, although they have reached their first milestone and productions will start soon. You can order one for yourself and if all goes well, the team will publish all the details of the protocol in an open document and you’l get your Modulo in a few months time; read as, November 2015.
*fingers crossed*
Check out the cool projects in the link below and wait with bated breath.
