Everyone loves greenery. We see a lot of people with hanging plants, but ever wondered, how do they water them? Moving staircase, a chair or someone really really tall to help them out! This invention will make life simpler for a lot of people. It is a DIY project, which lets you raise your lower you hanging plants, with a switch. So handy!
Jason here has designed this system, using an electric motor. Let’s run you through, how he has done it and then you can make one for your plants too. You will need a DC motor preferably with a gearbox, so that the motor has enough torque to hold the plants. A box, to hold the equipment, you could buy one or build one. You will need to build a winch shaft. You can follow the steps, shown in the video, above, or given in the source link, below.
In the box, you can house the motor and make a hole, for the rope. You can decide, how many plants you need to connect to this device, when you’re assembling the control panel. You can get the schematic diagrams in the video and link. Hang the winch to the ceiling and the control panel to the wall. You can decide how you want to do that, depending on the wall.
And, you’re done.
Good luck!
