Pressly is a hardware button connected to 3.5mm male audio jack of your smartphone or a tablet. It is compatible with Android and IOS (jailbreak required) platforms, if you are looking to take a snap and upload it straight to social networks this module comes handy for you. There are plenty of applications which can perform this task, but Pressly is a a loaf of a hardware that sits within easy reach of your fingers, and by cutting the number of actions required to perform. Pressly is compatible with all major applications.
Applications which are compatible with Pressly will allow a stray of shortcuts to create, based on a combination of short, medium and long presses of the Pressly button the respective operation is going to be performed. The Pressly compatible applications will allow users to customize their application settings, so in addition to capture a basic photo you could set a shortcut that keeps the phone screen and flash off, and also keep the shutter sound quiet.
Pressly Working Scenario, It relies on the inbuilt MIC of the smartphone audio connector. Pressly is a combination of a male 3.5mm audio jack and a simple push button. Both ends of the push button are connected between the ground and MIC of the 3.5mm audio jack. When the button is pressed the ground and MIC terminals get shorted and the signal will start to generate that’s going to be detected by the smartphone. An application which is synchronized through Pressly will identify this signal and start to perform its function assigned by the user.
Requirements to make Pressly work area, 3.5mm male audio connector, 1 push button/ momentary switch, multimeter, wire cutter, solder wire and soldering iron. As soon as you finish with the hardware parts you have to install and configure the application.
If you start to scroll once again from the beginning you will come to know how a button/ Pressly makes it different, even as it also acts as an FM radio antenna for smartphone.
