Microchip recently introduced the MCP6V51 zero-drift operational amplifier that promises ultra-high-precision measurement while neutralizing the impact of high-frequency interference. It accomplishes the job by providing a really wide operational range along with on-chip EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) filters.

The enhancement of wireless capabilities around us has pulled up the level of high-frequency noise around us. Other vital upgrades like factory automation and industrial control has ticked up the existence of sensors that need to be kept in check. Microchip’s MCP6V51 amplifier has been designed to offer stable and precise data from various sensors.

The MCP6V51 features a self-correcting zero-drift architecture paving way out for ultra-high DC (Direct Current) precision giving out maximum offset of ±15 microvolts and just ±36 nanovolts per degree Celsius of highest offset drift.

It is perfect for various applications like process control, building automation, as well as factory automation. The amplifier also offers support for a very wide range of operational voltage working from 4.5V to 45V.

What Experts Have to Say

Microchip’s mixed-signal and linear business unit’s vice president, Bryan J. Liddiard, adds, “Microchip is often thought of as a microcontroller company, but we have industry-leading analog to augment our total system solution for the industrial space. The combination of a complex chopper -stabilized architecture and a higher-voltage process technology makes these devices challenging from a design and manufacturing standpoint. Microchip is a company that can do it - and do it well.”

Pricing and Availability

The MCP6V51 can be availed for volume production and sampling in both 8-lead MSOP and 5-lead SOT-23 packages. Its pricing takes up from $0.98 USD per 10, 000 units for the SOT-23-5 package. Additional information about the product can be gained from  Microchip’s sales representative or its official website.
