Panasonic SN-GCJA5 Laser Particulate Matter (PM) Sensors are comprised of an on-board microprocessor, micro-fan, Laser Diode (LD), and Photo-Diode (PD). The LD emits light into the detection area and the PD receives the light and detects the floating particles in the air. These sensor fans operate based on the amount of dust particles surrounding the LD, this extends the lifespan of the sensors. The SN-GCJA5 sensors are high-accuracy, high-sensitivity, and provide a quick response. The performance is maintained by a unique auto-calibration function. These air quality sensors minimize the dust accumulation by an optimized air pathway structure, making it possible to avoid tracking for electrical safety. Typical applications include air purifiers, fans, and air conditioners.
Note: The combination of SN-GCJA5 air quality sensors, Arduino Uno microcontroller board, a level shifter, and software are necessary to build the complete evaluation kit.
