So many of us work on Raspberry Pi but we seldom think of building a workable case for it. Not Timothy Giles. This guy got inspired by Novena and made his very own tablet like device out of it in just a month and a half. It is one of the coolest designs you would come across on the internet.
PIvena, as Timothy calls it, shelters a 7” HDMI LCD and a Raspberry PI model B or B+. It is designed thoughtfully.. The right side has holes for Ethernet and USB. On the left side a slider is hinged to hold the screen in the open position, like in the door of a car boot (you can see it in action in the video below). The back has a large window for the GPIO of the PI. The Model B version of PIvena also allows for the audio jack and RCA video jack.
You don’t want a case that only looks cool. So Timothy took care that when the case is opened, it is hassle free to work on the Raspberry PI and the text on the screen is readable.
