There are quite a few DIY radar instruction set available on the internet, but what we have here is the Radar Intel Edison. It is easy, fun, and DIY! You need Intel Edison, breakout board, shield for Intel Edison, protoboard, servo motor, breadboard, jumper wires, Arduino IDE 1.5.3 and Processing IDE 2.1.
You can start off with making the electronic circuit as shown in the schematic diagram, given in the link below. The power needed is 5 VDC. Connect the ECHO pin ultrasonic sensor in digital port 6 Intel Edison. Connect the TRIG pin of the ultrasonic and servo motor signal wire to Intel Edison, as given in the instruction set.
You can get the code for this project on the Github link, again given in the source link. Remember to change the serial COM port on Windows or Linux in the code. It will be as per your serial port setting.
