Raspberry Pi 2 Laptop

By Anudeep

The Raspberry Pi 2 laptop is a new hardware kit, which helps you to build your own laptop in your home. A laptop has been built to free pi! It’s made by a mixture of spare parts, un-allocated electronics, and cables

The idea here is simple. Put a Raspberry pi inside an MDF (Medium Density Fiber), wire it to screen, Keyboard,  mouse, and batteries. Then you can plug in a USB hub, Bluetooth port and Ethernet ports. Here, you can also add extended port to add speakers and a headphone socket, and then wire all these together! Simple.

This Raspberry pi provides a platform to expand your knowledge in utilizing a hardware, this creation helps you to go through each of its components and functionality. So that you can use this tool for your projects or get inspired to create new

What’s Necessary

This laptop had a specification of 1Gb of RAM, Quad Core CPU, 4 USB ports and one Ethernet port. As per the requirement for normal using and reading purpose, used a display of 10.1 inches (IPS Technology) HD Display, with all display parameters (brightness, color, contrast, and  saturation). It’s backed with 16000 mah battery power (10000+6000). The laptop is made up of MDF Sheet (Medium Density Fiber) and colored in Italian Leather to give a bright elegant look. The Passive Ventilation System is a great boon for this laptop, so that it eliminates the requirement of a cooling fan to cool the CPU thus conserving energy and enhancing the battery life.

This laptop has full access to SD card, we can use this to change the operating system and the GPIO pins. The access to GPIO pins give a major kick to the entire system, helping to customize it into your own portable play station or work station. This laptop was a major break to Raspberry pi geeks, who likes to make experiments or projects on Raspberry pi-2.

About: – Chitlange Sahas is a student from Aurangabad, Maharastra, India. He has been worked on Raspberry pi 2 and got through with many challenges to come up with this beautiful idea of building a laptop, his work and novelty about the project is very much appreciated.

He has a keen interest in Raspberry Pi, electronics and a hobbyist in making new innovations. Chitlange Sahas already made so many DIY’s products and also entered into many national and international contests.
