In this project, you can connect RGB LED Board to Raspberry Pi Model B+ and with the help of Kaa-enabled application program it to display twitter messages with a particular hash tag or mention. It acts like a feed to display tweets which interest you and you can specify the speed of the feeds displayed and how often. Such a board can also be used to display ads to target a certain set of people.
Let’s see, how you can do this at home.
You need 16×32 RGB LED Board, 3 74AHCT125 quad level shifter, RPI, a breadboard and a lot of wires; whose specifications you can get from the link, given below. We will give you a heads up here, there is going to be a lot of wiring to be done. You can follow the Adafruit tutorial to wire your RPI to the LED Board. But the complete wiring scheme can be seen below.
