Renesas Electronics Corporation, one of the leading suppliers of highly developed semiconductor solutions recently came forth with its e2 studio Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tool for Renesas Synergy Platform. This ongoing partnership with thee premier supplier of embedded tools, IAR Systems, will allow Renesas Synergy to provide its customers with a chance to relish upgraded performance when they integrate IAR Systems advanced C/C++ based IAR Compiler™ into an Eclipse based e2 studio IDE.
The IAR C/C++ Compiler will be able to bring down the application code with the help of this optimization technology. Consequently, it will allow the developers to add up additional features into their Synergy Microcontrollers Units (MCUs). Benchmarks for industry’ leading execution speed for generated code have already been established by other compilers such as EEMBC Coremark. A faster code execution speed allows an MCU to spend additional time on lower power consumption modes leading to enhanced battery life. Synergy MCus are used by networked Internet of Things (IoT) devices for keeping an eye or administering the surrounding environment as well as system components in industrial, building, or home based automation systems, energy management systems, healthcare equipment, medical devices, as well as all other kind of home appliances.
According to Mark Rootz, the Marketing Director of Synergy Platform Business Division of Renesas Electronics Corporation, “Synergy Platform customers can choose from two professional software development tools – e² studio or IAR Embedded Workbench – with no license or maintenance fees and no limitation on the number of user seats. Enabling our e² studio users to access the IAR C/C++ Compiler demonstrates our commitment to increase the value and capabilities of the Synergy Platform by helping developers get through their design process faster than ever before.”
