Ever saw those movies where plane crashes and the camera goes all hoola loopin’? How about those Discovery channel videos of crash investigation where car dashcams give a spiral video shoot depicting how bad the crash is? Well, here is an interesting DIY which lets the user deliberately shoot such camera videos. This is pretty of a hobbyist DIY but needs a good hand at assembling and of course, a good team.
This DIY detail about a sling shot video shooting system which has a wearable camera that can tolerate adverse natural forces of moisture and dust (river water). Attached to this high tech camera is a simple balloon slingshot (yes, the one which kids play with).
Carried out by Jeremy Cook and his team mates, this DIY gives a good insight on what stuffs are to be arranged, what changes one has to make to the sling shot machine and how the flight would actually look. The video details with the manner in which the sling shot video camera has been used and the quality of video recording that has been done.
One has to say that it is quite impressive. A lot of creativity accompanied by bits of dedication here and there would fetch you this gadget. All you have to take care is how well you execute it and where you use it. Using such cameras can get you some amazing snapshots or videos about Mother Nature.
