If you want to stream music to your friends in a quick way, then just arrange a male-to-male 3.5mm RCA audio cable, where the one end is plugged into the microphone jack and the other into the headphone jack. Then either start a Skype session or sign up for an account with a Web-based streaming service to connect with your friends and make them listen to your favourite tracks.
Here, the computer will be responsible for feeding your audio output from the headphone jack to the audio input from the mic jack. With this, you can broadcast it to whoever is in your stream, as you just need to open up your MP3 player of choice and start playing.
There are some web-based streaming services like Justin.tv that even supports Youtube playlists, where your listeners can stay on even after you sign off. But if you are planning to give your listeners a little different radio experience, then you can have your own online radio station that will stream in the same manner like the big radio stations do.
The step by step procedure is available on the following website, where you can start your own station for free.
