From Newton’s apple to Job’s calligraphy; the league had invented ideas and worked to reinvent them. Readers! It is all about that split second, when a master gong hits your brain for an innovation. Well, this is just to give you an idea of what I am talking about.
Many a times you must have got irritated of the mess out of your electronic projects or the maids who must have messed up with your wire mesh inviting troubleshooting in your work. From a garage developer, here we have a surveillance system which may help you monitor the mess in your work areas.
The project is called DIY Surveillance system using webcam which is divided into three parts; the hardware, the communication medium and the software part. The hardware consists of a webcam, a 4 wired stepper motor along with a driver circuit and an Arduino brain board. The webcam is made movable by integrating it to the shaft of the motor. The stepper driver is the A3967SLB which is used to control motor movement and provide precision control based on the input pulses provided to it. The brain of the Arduino board used here is Atmega168 microcontroller which interacts directly with the driver circuit. The communication medium covers the serial communication ports to connect the hardware to software and the C# host program.
The software part includes the web server and the code for the project.
The garage developer’s blog seems to give clean insights into this new project which is their very own. So keep exploring and implement one for yourself.
