Battery Level Indicator
Battery level indicator will let you know the status of battery of a device just by glowing the number of LED’s. For example four LED’s are glowing means battery capacity is 40 percent. You can use this circuit with your inverter or with your car battery; it will give you indication about your battery status. So before your battery dies you can recharge it.Advantage of this circuit is it does not require power supply; it will take power supply from the battery of the device itself. This simple circuit is based on single IC LM3914 with few more discrete components. LM3914 is a monolithic integrated circuit which senses the analog voltage and derives 10 LED’s providing a linear analog display.
How to Create a Battery using Aluminium Foil
EMF of cell can be defined as the actual potential difference of the cell. The voltage that we are getting from the battery is reduced by the internal resistance of the battery. Circuit diagram shows is internal physical structure of the cell. It contains a resistor and the cells voltage. Resistor that is connected here is not seen as this is not connected in the cell or it is outside the cell. It is the resistor that is of the cell. And emf of the cell is constant means that the emf of the particular cell does not change. Aluminium foil is used in this project. Lots of aluminium foil is wasted in the garbage after using it in the lunch box. This will give you aluminium free. You need not purchase it from shop asks your friend to give his used aluminium foil, It is eco-friendly. This project can be made anywhere. As it does not require any precious metal.
Insight: The internal working of a remote control
The Oxford Dictionary defines a remote control to be a “control of a machine or apparatus from a distance by means of radio or infrared signals transmitted from a device”. So, when we decided to go inside a conventional remote control, we were stuck: which one to take? There are those for LCD TV, others for gaming consoles, for the car entertainment systems and some that work for all kinds of systems. At the very first sight, one can notice difference in designs, features, the manner they are powered and several such features. But upon giving a slight thought, it is easy to understand that all the remotes are performing the same basic task: controlling outputs of an electric/electronic device. So, here we are, with a Sony RMGA020 LCD TV Remote used for their 32 inch KL television series. Interestingly, Sony calls their remote to be “Remote Commanders”. Since the trend nowadays is to equip remotes with a hoard of features and create the main gadget as simple as possible, calling them “Remote Commanders” is fair enough.
Insight – How NiMH Cell Works
Among all the secondary and rechargeable batteries that are available till date, NiMH batteries have been a popular name. The concept of commercialized hydrogen based rechargeable batteries was sought in 1960s but inability to store hydrogen in small cells was a big hindrance. In the mid 90s, technological achievement was unlocked and commercial production of NiMH batteries became possible.A single AA standard NiMH cell gives 1.2V of outputs and can serve for an average of 2-3 years. The efficiency of these cells is around 70-80% and remains constant for a long period of time. This is a prominent reason for mass popularity of these cells.
Insight – How Scientific Calculator works
Scientific calculators are more of a habit for any engineer. Loaded with features that can solve complicated trigonometric, logarithmic and exponentia. The first scientific calculator was released in late 1960s by Hewlett Packard and numerous electronic manufacturers followed suit. Initially expensive and feature restricted, engineers have continually crammed more and more features into that little space as the semiconductor manufacturing industry continues to mature. Most of the scientific calculators, irrespective of the manufacturer, come in a hard plastic casing as shown above. The layout of the buttons is neat and ergonomic so that calculators can be used for long time without posing any risk of strain to the wrist and also ensuring correct key stroke each time, irrespective of the finger size pressing them.Let’s find out what makes this small sized gadget tick.
Insight – How Digital Thermometer works
Digital Thermometers are slowly replacing the conventional mercury thermometer due to the ease of taking reading. People often have the misconception that it contains mercury. Digital Thermometers are mercury free. These thermometers contain thermistor inside the tip which is used to measure the temperature. They provide quick and highly accurate results over the body temperature range. These thermometers are easy to read with LCD display on them. They are equipped with beep alarm & memory function and can record a wide range of temperature. Doctor’s thermometer which are mostly used can read temperature between 94oF and 105oF (35oC and 42oC). It is three in one thermometer as it can record oral, auxiliary and rectal temperatures.

Electric Cars
What would the cars run on if one day the fuels that we’ve been lavishing on for so long just disappeared? Earth had once been a planet replete with stockpiles of consumable fossil fuels like coal and petroleum. But as mankind progressed and advanced its appetite for energy shot up to humungous proportions and in much less than three centuries since the Industrial revolution, there is an outcry to conserve these natural resources and look for alternatives. Of all the industries that would directly or indirectly hit the consumers if these fuels disappeared from earth, the most obvious would be the automobile industry. To offer a viable solution to these dilemmas, many innovations in the field of automobile industry have taken place from time to time. One of them is ‘electric cars’, a solution for a cleaner and healthier tomorrow.
