ULIS, a renowned manufacturer of innovative thermal sensors, has launched Atto320. It’s the first model in the lineup of 12-micron, stand-alone, image sensors. The 12-micron pixel pitch is the new industry standard for thermal image sensors for market applications requiring low cost and size of the camera. The key sectors include outdoor leisure/observation, surveillance, and thermography. The Atto320 bring the advantage of sharply focused images, compact size, and long-battery life to handheld-cameras. ON Semiconductor has recently introduced AR0521 CMOS image sensor, the first imaging product based on a 2.2 micrometer (µm) Back Side Illuminated (BSI) pixel technology platform. The sensor is targeted particularly for the security and surveillance applications. Coming to the product details, the AR0521 is a small optical format 1/2.5-inch (7.13mm), 5 mp digital image sensor carrying an active pixel array of 2592 (H) x 1944 (V). It works in either linear or high dynamic range (HDR) modes with roller-shutter readout, and is equipped with sophisticated camera functions like binning, windowing, and both video and single frame modes.
