Littlefuse Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, has unveiled a series of high-voltage Fuse Blocks and Fuse Holders meant for the mechanical installation of fuses. The new series has been developed for applications in the range of 400 to 600 volts. It comprises several fuse mounting alternatives so as to accommodate the mechanical design of the application. These devices have been optimized for field servicing of such equipment which is either costly to move or for which the downtime is unacceptable. The series of fuse blocks and holders prevents electric shocks while replacing fuses in the field, thus ensuring the safety of the maintenance personnel.
Littlefuse Introduces 80A Discrete Bidirectional TVS Diode Arrays with Lower Standoff Voltages
Littlefuse Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, has added 80A discrete bi-directional TVS Diode Arrays to its SP11xx Series TVS Diode Arrays (SPA® Diodes). The SP1103C Series 80A Discrete Bidirectional TVS Diodes offer circuit designers lower standoff voltage options so as to protect lower voltage power buses from electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage. The diodes have been constructed by using TVS diodes fabricated in a proprietary silicon avalanche technology. These provide protection to electronic equipment which is sensitive to destructive ESDs. The robustness of the diodes helps in absorbing repetitive ESD strikes at ±30kV without affecting the performance.
Littlefuse Inc Introduces a Series of Switching Thyristors for EVOBC Applications
Littlefuse Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, has released a series of 16A SCR (silicon-controlled rectifier) switching thyristors developed especially for use in electric vehicle on-board charge (EVOBC) applications. S8016xA Series SCR Switching Thyristors offer excellent AC handling capability and surge robustness. This allows handling of Level 1 charging up to 16ARMS at 120V, and Level 2 charging up to 16ARMS at 240V at 100°C and up to 25ARMS at 80°C. The S8016xA Series is the first line of SCR switching thyristors capable of handling such high current levels in TO-220R and TO-263 packages.
Littlefuse Releases a Series of Schottky Barrier Rectifiers Featuring Compact Footprint
Littlefuse Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, has unveiled a series of Schottky Barrier Rectifiers. These devices have been designed to outperform conventional switching diodes in commercial, industrial, as well as, automotive applications. The series combines ultra-forward voltage drop, high current handling, high junction temperature capability, and low leakage performance in a compact TO-277B surface mount package. As far as the automotive applications are concerned, for up to 10 A, it offers an equal level of performance seen in D-PAK packaging, with a footprint that’s one-third of the size. Moving on, some typical applications for these Rectifiers include high-frequency switch-mode power supplies (SMPSs) and DC-DC converters found in automotive applications.
Littlefuse Unveils Silicon-Controlled Thyristor Series Ideal for Phase Control Applications
Littlefuse Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, has rolled out a series of 40A standard high-temperature silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) Thyristors ideally suitable to be used as rectifier switches and phase control applications including a voltage regulator, heating, and motor speed controls. The new SJxx40x Series is the first SCR Thyristor from Littlefuse that can handle 600V, 40Arms and junction temperature of up to 150°C. It prevents the overheating, as well as thermal runaway problems SCRs, experience due to the limited cooling capability or occasional overload situation. The aim is to trigger with just a few milliamps of current at less than 1.5CV potential.
Littlefuse Introduces TVS Diode Arrays with High Surge Tolerance
Littlefuse Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, has introduced a series of TVS Diode Arrays i.e. SPA® Diodes. These are optimised to protect DC powerlines for PoweredUSB interfaces from damaging electrostatic discharges (EDs). SP11xx Series TVS Diode Arrays employ Zener diodes fabricated in a proprietary silicon avalanche technology to protect each I/O pin in the interface. These robust devices render high surge tolerance with the highest surge density per square millimeter of any TVS Diode Array offered by the company. Furthermore, it also provides extremely low dynamic resistance across all of the relevant voltage levels for PoweredUSB Interfaces.
Littlefuse Releases New Series of Bidirectional TVS Diode Arrays that Provides Protection against Destructive Electrostatic Discharges
Littlefuse Inc., a global leader in manufacturing circuit protection products, has launched a series of TVS Diode Arrays. These are designed to protect the electronic equipment against destructive electrostatic discharges (ESD). The SP3042 Series Bidirectional Discrete TVS Diode Arrays consists of robust back-to-back TVS diodes fabricated by using a proprietary silicon-avalanche technology. This helps in safely absorbing the repetitive ESD strikes till a maximum level specified in the IEC 61000-4-2 international standard without degrading the performance.
