How to Access Raspberry Pi Directly through the Ethernet Port of PC – (Part 03/38)
The Raspberry pi is a single board minicomputer which has only the essential hardware included so as to meet the goal of low cost. The board is Raspberry pi board runs on ARM11 processor but is available at extremely cheap price. The board is designed with an intention of providing computer education to the remote schools where the PCs are not very commonly used. The idea behind the design is to use the TV screen as the display unit for the Raspberry pi board and hence converting the normal TV into a computer. The board is hence provided with a RCA connector which can be used to connect it directly to a TV screen which is based on PAL and NTSC standard. The board also has a HDMI connector output which can be used to connect the board to a HD TV.
Circuit Diagram to Automatically Hibernate your PC
Many of us have habit of not to save the data or work while working on system and lost our valuable work and time while working, as UPS shuts off automatically because of low batter. There are some software available in market which will give you indication that your system is going to shut down but they are very costly and some free ware are also available but they may contain threat of viruses that may damage your PC. So we have describe a simple circuit which will automatically hibernate your PC before UPS battery goes off. And important feature of this circuit is it will not require any software to be installed on your PC.
AC Power Controlling using Microcontroller through PC
As today world completely depends on the power saving, this prototype will help to decrease the power consumption. Here we are using this circuit for today’s world to control AC 60W bulb using 8-bit microcontroller and we are using the concept of pwm (pulse width modulation) technique to control the 60W load by which we can decrease the light intensity and thus power consumption of the load indirectly got decreased. The concept is very low such as to decrease the intensity we need to decrease the voltage of AC input. Here we are using a controlling part which consists of a TRIAC to control the AC voltage and also other feature is controlling the frequency of the signal. Keep on reading to find out how the circuit is assembled and put to use.
Wireless PC Controlled Robot Using Bluetooth
In the previous tutorial I have explained how to setup a basic serial connection between an Atmega16 controller Board and a computer/laptop. In this article we’ll learn how to control a robot using the computer/laptop wirelessly through Bluetooth. Let us start with the hardware assembly part first. It should be simple since we are using a ready-made chassis. Start by attaching the motors and castor wheel to the chassis. The components needed for the project are : Atmega16 development board with 16MHz crystal, Serial Bluetooth Module(AUBTM/HC-05/HC-04/BLUSMIRF), PC/Laptop running Windows XP/7/8, USB Bluetooth(Not required if you laptop/PC has inbuilt hardware), Motor Driver L293D, 2 X 12V 100RPM Geared DC motors, 2 X Wheels, Chassis, Castor wheel, Female jumper wires. Keep on reading to find out how the robot is constructed and what coding does it use to operate.
How To Connect The EEPROM Of The Arduino To The Serial Port Of A PC- (Part 20/49)
A kind of Read Only Memory (ROM), which can be written and erased by means of electrically programming the data, is called Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM). Once programmed the data it will remain in the memory for a very long time even if there is no power available. The EEPROM comes in small sized chips which can be interfaced with microcontrollers in a system. Most of the microcontrollers have built-in EEPROM with reasonable memory size so that for small kind of applications an extra memory chip can be avoided. A microcontroller uses the EEPROM memory to store its data like sensor value, or a particular count or image data for a long period of time uses the EEPROM memory. The EEPROM memory is also used to save the data before the system switches itself off so that the same data can be retained next time when the system is turned on.
How To Connect PC With 16×2 LCD Using Arduino- (Part 13/49)
The serial port of the microcontroller provides the easiest way by which the user and the microcontroller can write their data in the same medium and both can read each other’s data. The LCD module makes an embedded system completely independent with which the system can take analog or digital input on its input pins and display the corresponding output in its own screen along with generating other kind of outputs. The serial communication port is one of the communication medium available in almost all microcontrollers. It is the most effective communication method available with a microcontroller. The serial port of the microcontroller provides the easiest way by which the user and the microcontroller can write their data in the same medium and both can read each other’s data.
