Bridge is a networking device which connects two or more network segments. They also inspect and manage the amount of traffic coming from a network. Bridges work on the Data Link layer of OSI Model. These are the types of bridges:
1. Local bridges: They directly connect local area networks (LANs).
2. Remote bridges: They are used to create a WAN link between LAN.
3. Wireless bridges: used to connect remote stations to LAN.
