Cloaking is a Black Hat SEO (Search Engine Optimization) technique that displays a different page to search engine spiders from the page that is displayed to user in order to get false traffic by fooling the search engines. A server side script is used for this purpose, which distinguishes the human visitors and search engine spiders separately. Once the spider lands on the webpage, a different version of the webpage is brought to it. Websites practicing such techniques are penalized or blocked by search engines once they caught.
