IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is method of delivering videos to televisions by using a broadband connection. TV channels are encoded in to IP format and then transferred to Televisions using an electronic device. It requires a set top box and generally delivered through the existed telephone lines, packaged with other services like Video On Demand (VOD) and Voice Over IP (VOIP).
Unlike the traditional TV channels, there is only one channel at a time delivered to a user and if the user changes the channel, the previous stream is stopped and the new stream is sending to the user.
