A programming language is computer language used to write programs/codes which instructs the computer what needs to be done. Various programming languages have been developed over the time and can be used depending on the application. Every programming language has its own methodologies to write a program with well defined instructions and their syntax. The programming language can be broadly classified under two categories low: level and high level. The low level programming languages like assembly are difficult to work on and require high expertise. The high level programming languages like C, C++ make programming easy for the beginners as the instruction set used are close to human language.
