Arguably, Arduino puts itself as one of the best development boards on the electronics block these days. But can it be as powerful that it controls robotic objects? Well, a car and a miniature plane are something very common, something more complicated is what Arduino should fetch here. Spotlighting one such powerful Arduino application here is an interesting Robotic Arm which works on Arduino.
Ironically, pretty simple compared to the usual complicated robotic arm, this one uses 3 servo motors and cardboard. Using a USB connects it to the computer and there you go, controlling your very own robotic arm.
This simple yet amazing DIY is shown in its eerie details at the blog named luckylarry.com, whose owner (Larry, presumably) gives not only comprehensive images but also fetches an interesting video where the Arduino based arm is shown working. In addition to this DIY, there are several other posts which detail with modifying this robotic wonder which can be made in a couple of hours.
What would you do if you get your own robotic arm? Get done your homework? Draw? Wash clothes? A lot more, infact!! Make and share!!
