Logic Gates are the basic functional block which carries out any logical operation in electronics. The seven basic logic gates are: AND, OR, XOR, NOT, NAND, NOR and XNOR. Every logical operation uses a combination of these fundamental blocks for carrying out the operations. Logic gates take digital inputs (0 or 1) and produce a digital output (0 or 1) depending on the type of gate used.
