QIHAN, a China based technology company recently entered the market with the latest product called the Sanbot. The robot was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Las Vegas, this month. Sanbot happens to be a cloud based intelligent humanoid robot that has been designed for consumer-oriented industries like nursing homes, education, or retail sector. Dimensionally, it is a 93 cm tall robot which is much like the size of a child. The robot gets instilled with a number of features like it a 10.1-inch touch screen over its chest or a projector over its head that can be used for watching movies and an array of cameras and sensors. It has also been blessed with a voice that responds to all your commands. It is capable of plugging itself in whenever its battery is running low.

The CEO of Qihan, Lv De Lin, adds, “CES is a critical stop for Sanbot to step outside of China. Currently, we do not see any peer robotic products with homogeneous capabilities. Our primary goal now is to penetrate our product into various businesses and gain as much brand awareness among businesses.” Sanbot reacts over its master’s commands by using information collected over the QIHAN cloud which is a real-time decision-making engine. The engine makes use of QIHAN’s research on artificial intelligence as well as machine learning. Tools like these can be harnessed by developers with great ease when they make use of Sanbot’s open Application Programming Interface (API). QIHAN also states that more than 70, 000 units of Sanbot are under use in market and US market will be able to avail 5000 units by paying a base price of $12, 000.
QIHAN hopes to establish partnership with North American applications and businesses developers who will help in realizing the true potential of Sanbot in different sectors like healthcare, security, hospitality, retail, or education. It is one of the prime reasons why the company brought-in a product like Sanbot.
