Cree Inc., a global manufacturer and marketer of lighting-class LEDs and lighting products, has introduced XLamp XHP70.2 LED, the second generation of the highest output Extreme High Power LED. It delivers up to 9% more lumens and 18% higher lumens per watt (LPW) as compared to the first generation version. Moving on, it offers up to 58% higher than its closest competitor LED with the same size. This facilitates smaller luminaries and better optical control for high-lumen lighting applications than before.
Ametherm’s new Circuit Protection Thermistor Features Industry-Best Ratings for Resistance, Current, and Energy
Ametherm has announced the release of its all new UL-approved circuit protection thermistor viz. “SL32 0R230” that has received the industry-best ratings for hot resistance, current handling, and energy. It helps to conserve power, save space and, and incurs low cost for a wide range of applications. Interestingly, this is the only UL-approved circuit protection Thermistor available in the market featuring a maximum continuous current rating of 30 A along with “hot” resistance on the order of just 6mΩ. This, in turn, minimizes the voltage drop to a range of 0.18-0.30 V, ultimately maximizing battery life and conserving power when used in inventers and motor drives.
Microchip Technology Introduces its First Advanced Motor Control Tool Featuring Auto Tuning and Self-Commissioning
Microchip Technology Inc. has recently unveiled an advanced motor control software plug-in called motorBench Development Suite. It’s a Graphical User Inreface (GUI)-based tool carrying auto tuning and self-commissioning capabilities. In other words, it automatically tunes feedback control gains and accurately measures critical motor parameters like resistance, inductances and the back electromagnetic force (EMF) constant. The plug-in collects all the relevant information regarding the motor control system and then the algorithm gains are tuned automatically.
Keysight Technologies Releases Ultra-Low Cost InfiniiiVision 1000 X-Series Oscilloscopes
Keysight Technologies Inc has introduced a new low-cost InfiniiVision 100 X oscilloscope series which starts at the price tag of USD 449. The lineup contains 50-100 MHz models equipped with Keysight-custom technology. It also has 6-in-1 instrument integration implying that it offers value for money by saving valuable bench space. Besides being an oscilloscope, the 1000 X-Series also serves as a serial protocol analyser, digital voltmeter and frequency counter. Two models in the series viz. EDUX1002G and DSOX1102G are fitted with a frequency response analyser and WaveGen function generator, which make it easy to teach bode plot fundamentals.
